Michael Torguson -- Your Old Buddy Torgie

He received his Masters in Science in Education from Southern Oregon State College. He has taught American Government at SOSC, and has done substitute teaching in Central Point, Eagle Point and Medford. Currently, he is teaching Computer Science at Rogue Community College. This is all fun, and it will be more fun when I get on full time somewhere!

If you want to have some fun, start talking about American Government or Politics with him... he will never shut up!! But, when you do something you love, the rewards are numerous and plentiful. (even if, as Jerry Brown says, they are psychic rewards) However, if you do start talking to him, be prepared, and stay informed! There is no excuse for not knowing what is happening around you! So...

My favorite band of all time is Oingo Boingo. At first (late 11970's), they were the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo -- a musical acting troupe. In the early '80's they shortened their name, and concentrated on making music. Over the past 17 years, Boingo has come out with 14 albums, performed live over 2,000 times, and Halloween night at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre was a tradition for all Boingo Fans.

The lead singer / musical genius behind the band is Danny Elfman. Elfman has now gone from Rock & Roll to TV & film composing. He wrote the music for Nightmare before Christmas, Batman, The Simpsons, Mission: Impossible, and many others.

I also rock to David Bowie, Devo, Talking Heads, and the Clash, among many others. He also is a classical music buff (being a music major before entering the History and Political Science).

Torgie is a big Disney fan, and I've been to Disneyland over 350 times! I have also been to Epcot, and am planning a trip to Tokyo Disney sometime soon! I am also a Star Trek fan.
