Welcome to the Wright World of Wildlife Art

As a native of the Pacific Northwest, Vaughn Wright has spend a lifetime studying Wildlife in it's natural environment. Wright's art has been instrumental in raising awareness of the vast beauty of the region's greatest natural resource: its wildlife and scenic beauty. The painter is destined to become one of the most prolific and celebrated artists of our day. To date, Wright has completed many drawings and paintings, two of which have been printed as Limited Edition Lithographs. In 1995, after years of painting "one-of-a-kind" drawings, Wright completed his first lithograph, called "The Stag." The limited edition of 100 prints sold immediately and a career was born. The next two years of his life was spent transferring his unique eye for nature from Pencil to Paint. The culmination of this effort is the extraordinary Oil on Canvas entitled "Snack Time." As a hunter and naturalist, Wright spends much of his time in the woods researching what will soon be reflected in his paintings. This unique perspective gained by a lifetime of hiking and observing brings to each of his paintings a three-dimensional quality that separates him from other artists in his genre. It has been said repeatedly that Wright's depiction of the Pacific Northwestern wildlife captures the true spirit of the animals and even offers a look into their souls. "I hope to spend the rest of my days wondering through the woods and painting what I see, so that others can share in the rich splendor these woods have to offer ,' says Wright. Although he has been spend short periods of time with professors of the arts, Wright's painting skills are derived primarily self taught. As Wright often says, "It is through the process of discovery which we truly learn and grow." After years of travel throughout the "backwoods" of the United States, he now lives in Southern Oregon, not far from where he spent his youth. Wright's works are shown in Galleries and Businesses throughout the United States and are often found at charity auctions and fund raising events.
