
Click on the Start Button then go to Programs and click on Internet Mail
Click Next at the Gather Information screen
In the Name field type your Full Name, such as John Smith
In the Email Address field type your E-mail address, such as johndoe@wave.net
Click Next
In the Incoming Mail (POP3) Server field type: tidal.wave.net
In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server field type: tidal.wave.net
Click Next
Make sure Logon Using is checked
In the Account Name field type your logon name, such as johndoe
In the Password field type the password you gave WaveNet
Click Next
Click on the button for I use a modem to access my mail
Under the Use the Following Dial-Up Networking connection click the arrow pointing down
and chose the WaveNet connection.
Click Next
Now Click Finish
After The Internet Mail Program Opens, click on the Mail Menu Item. Now click on Options
Click on the Tab that says Server
Click on the button that says Advanced Settings
Down toward the bottom in the Reply To field type your E-mail Address
Now move the slide tab until the Server Timeout says 2 Minutes.
Click OK
This completes the required settings for Internet Mail. You can click OK to exit or select one
of the other tabs to customize your program.
To Send Mail:
Click on the New Message Button
Put the e-mail address of the recipient in the To: field
Put the subject of the message in the Subject: field
Then below the horizontal line type your message in.
When you are done click on the button with the image of the letter in the upper left hand corner.
Your letter is now waiting in the Outbox for you to Send and Receive
To Send and Receive Mail:
Click the Send and Receive Button
It should connect you to the Internet if you are not already.
It will send any mail in the Outbox and receive any mail you have on the mail server
Your new mail will be placed in the Inbox
To view the Inbox click on the down arrow that is in the upper right of the screen and pick Inbox
To Read Mail:
Click on the message you wish to read to preview it
Double Click on the message you wish read to create a new window for
